Global PoleTrusion Group Corp.’s CEO Talks Innovation Within the Energy Sector and International Contracts with Uptick Newswire’s Stock Day Podcast

PHOENIX, Oct. 31, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Global PoleTrusion Group Corp. (OTCQB:GPGC) (“The Company”) is an engineering firm that caters to the needs of utility companies, providing poles and towers that outperform their steel, wood, and concrete counterparts. President and CEO, Ramiro Guerrero, talked with Stock Day’s Everett Jolly.

Guerrero started off by explaining that Global PoleTrusion Group Corp. has been doing engineering for structures for the past 30 years, related to telecom, utility towers, and distribution poles. Beginning ten years ago they made the switch to their composite material pole.

“These poles weigh a fraction of the cement poles and the wooden poles, and it has a lot of other utilities on it’s side, like weight reduction, no rust, and nonconductive,” explained Guerrero.

The company is located in Florida, the manufacturing is being done at their plant in Ohio, and the engineering is done in Montreal, Canada. Guerrero explained the composite tower design arose out of a need to combat rust and weight of traditional towers.

“We had to move forward so we started doing designs using fiberglass and different types of structural resin. The result was great. We got very good reception and three years ago we decided to start the commercial activities. This brought us to projects in Panama, potential projects in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Peru and Brazil. We are now also starting to develop Africa.”

Jolly then asked Guerrero to bring the listeners up to speed on the Panama project. A new company has been formed with GPGC in Panama, Los Santos Energy Corp. They had previously announced that GPGC entered into an agreement with an electrical distribution company under contract to the government of Panama for the installation, maintenance, and operation of a 5 Megawatt (MW) solar plant in Los Santos Province, Panama.

“One of the ways for us to start showing our own product was for us to do solar and renewable energy products,” explained Guerrero. “We will be backing up that 5 Megawatt of solar energy with biomass. We will be delivering what we call reserve energy to the energy group, so we can deliver energy 24 hours a day.”

Jolly then asked how the company finds their clients, and for an example of some of their clients. Guerrero explained that North America and Canada are in the process of renewing their networks. South and Central America are in the process of delivering energy to rural areas.

“So, what we do is very simple for us. There aren’t that many utility companies, maybe 20 in the U.S.A. 10 in Canada, Brazil there are 4. Our clients are not many, so we are able to meet with them through our connections and own experience. I have done a lot of the structures in Brazil. We have delivered poles in El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Brazil.”

Jolly then mentioned that he’s read that 1.4 billion people in the world still do not have electricity.

“It’s true,” Guerrero said. “The urban areas are well developed and even those areas I Central and South America don’t necessarily get electricity 24 hours a day. When it comes to the rural areas, the cost of bring that electricity is expensive due to the cost of transporting heavy steel towers. We are making a difference on that side because of the transport and instillation of our towers is a fraction of the cost of steel.”

Jolly then asked how the company is funding their new poles and asked about revenues for the future.

“As of now we are starting to deliver poles for that contract in Brazil, so those revenues should start within the next month and a half or 2 months. As far as the solar energy for Los Santos, we hope we will be able to start construction of the solar networks by January, which puts in the revenues by June/July of 2019.”
