KYIV, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, June 4, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Third Annual Monaco Energy Security Forum (Energy Security for the Future) took place in Monte Carlo, Monaco, on June 1, 2018, organized by Burisma Group with support from the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Aleksander Kwasniewski's Foundation Amicus Europae and the Atlantic Council.

Over the course of only three years, the Forum grew from an annual European event into a global energy and environmental security movement. This year, around 250 guests from over 20 countries were in attendance. The event was informally called the "Forum of Presidents", as it brought together European leaders, including His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, President of Latvia Mr Raymonds Vejonis, President of Poland (1995-2005) Mr Aleksander Kwasniewski, President of the European Commission and the Prime Minister of Italy Mr Romano Prodi, President of the European Council and the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Mr Mirek Topolanek.

The list of panelists included the U.K. Parliamentarian and the leader of the U.K. delegation to OSCE Mr Mark Pritchard, the U.S. politician and former U.S. Senator for Louisiana Ms Mary Landrieu, the European Commissioner for Energy and Development (2004 - 2014) Mr Andris Piebalgs, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Director of the Atlantic Council's Eurasia Center Mr John Herbst.

"Over the past three years, the Forum on Energy Security for the Future has become the largest public, political and economic movement advocating for innovation and change. Taking into account the challenges that the world is facing today, only a strong energy sufficient Europe can guarantee a secure future for European citizens. And Ukraine is an important strategic element in the European energy security equation", says the Forum founder and Burisma Group President Nikolay Zlochevskyi.

This year, the Forum focused on
the topic of revolutionary thinking. At this time, economy, energy, and politics are going through major transformations.

"Energy Security for the Future stands for the search of new synergistic positions and views. We need to come up with an energy security model that would be beneficial and acceptable for all countries", says the President of Poland (1995-2005) Aleksander Kwasniewski.

"Energy is the force that drives the world today. And having an educated consistent discussion contributes to the cooperation between all countries. Through the Forum, the world learns about energy processes happening in Ukraine, says the Head of the Forum's Organizing Committee and Advisor to the Board of Directors at Burisma Group Vadym Pozharskyi.
