West Virginia authorities probe fatal Roane County fire
SPENCER — A fatality in Spencer that occurred Friday evening was investigated by the State Fire Marshal’s office, the organization announced via press release.
Emergency officials responded to a residence in the 100 block of Spencer Avenue at approximately 8 p.m. Friday. A 67-year-old man had passed away due to a fire at his residence.
The release states the fire marshal’s office has ruled the cause of the fire as undetermined but “most likely accidental due to an electrical malfunction.”
