"Our Hidden Powers" provides a fun and engaging way for young readers to learn about geothermal energy and contributing to a sustainable future.

A new children’s book provides an engaging and light-hearted way to learn about geothermal energy and other forms of renewable energies for young readers. The fun-filled and educational story of “Our Hidden Powers” also presents lessons on finding one’s own strength, working together, and what it means to be a good friend.

In today’s world, climate change is an important issue for adults and children alike. With “Our Hidden Powers,” young readers can learn about the value of renewable energies in combating climate change while inspiring them to find their own unique strengths. “Our Hidden Powers” was authored by Baseload Capital team members Kristina Hagström-Ilievska and Gabriella Skog.

Ignis and her friends

The book follows the story of Ignis and her friends Sunny, Windy, Kai, and Terry as they explore geothermal energy and learn how collaboration can help save our planet. Through the help of her friends, Ignis learns that she plays an important role in providing geothermal energy, both for heating and power. Children, too, will discover how tapping into their hidden powers will empower them to contribute to a sustainable future.

“Discovering and unlocking our hidden powers can be the spark that ignites our greatest potential and fuels our journey towards a better world. The purpose of the book is to introduce energy that is good for the planet to our children.” – Kristina Hagström-Ilievska, CMO at Baseload Capital

“Climate anxiety is widespread both among adults and children. We wanted to write a book that talks about the advantages of renewable energy in light-hearted and fun-filled way, creating meaningful memories and discussions between children and the adults in their lives.”  – Gabriella Skog, Geologist at Baseload Capital
