Brazil's Raizen to sell 115 MWp of DG solar projects to Elis Energia
Apr 24, 2024 11:21 CESTPower Construction Corporation of China, also known as Powerchina, is planning to build a 343-MW solar park in Brazil’s northeastern state of Ceara.
The new project will require an investment of BRL 1.8 billion (USD 337.55m/EUR 314.14m), the local government announced last week during a meeting between state officials and Powerchina representatives.
Construction works on the project are scheduled to commence this March in the municipality of Mauriti. PowerChina estimates the solar park will be up and running by February 2025.
No further details about the solar project were disclosed in the government press release.
The Chinese company has been present in the country since 2006 and currently has six other projects under construction, the Ceara state government noted.
