A number of football leagues around the world have started for the new 2022/2023 season with others also scheduled to begin in the coming weeks. It was a good weekend for Rwandan players abroad who have started their leagues as they put up impressive performances. Midfielder Sven Kalisa set up a goal for Etzella in Luxembourg in his first league game whereas the likes of Steve Rubanguka and Joel Mugisha also excelled in their respective leagues.
